Ralph Wayne Carter was born February 21, 1944, in Johnson City, Tennessee to Rosalee and J. Andrew Carter. Ralph was the second of four children and grew up surrounded by family before making his way to Detroit, Michigan, at the young age of seventeen to live with relatives and pursue new opportunities.
In 1972, Ralph began his career with Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment. One of his proudest accomplishments came in November 1980, when he became a licensed foreman in welding, a role that reflected his skill, leadership and strong work ethic.
Ralph enjoyed spending his free time biking, traveling and exploring different places to eat. He found joy in discovering new experiences and sharing those moments with the people he loved.
Ralph was a proud father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a great friend, whose presence and guidance will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ralph Wayne Carter, age eighty-one, passed away on February 13, 2026.
His son, Ralph and parents, Rosalee and J. Andrew Carter, preceded him in death. He leaves behind his loving family who will cherish his precious memory: his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, three siblings, and many cousins.
Ralph Wayne Carter's legacy lives on through the family he loved and the many lives he touched. He will be remembered for his dedication, his quiet strength, and the love he shared with those around him.
