Irma Means (née Tatum), a woman of unwavering faith, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan, surrounded by her family. Irma was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Irma's life was a testament to her deep faith in the Lord. She lived her life guided by her beliefs, and her actions reflected her strong commitment to her family and community. Irma was a pillar of strength, always offering a helping hand to those in need.
Irma was a cherished mother to her seven children, Carla, Wayne (Shunta), Burton (Velma), the late Mickey, Steven, Brian, and Jeffrey (Sandra). She instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and faith, which they carry with them today.
Irma's grandchildren Khalalai, Marcel, Jasmine, Michael Jr, Lacey, Destiny, Sydney, Kendall, Nya, Christopher, Cassandra, Steven Jr, Lavincent, twins Steven & Stephan, Mack and Shamira were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them and her great-grandchildren.
Irma will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
