Proverbs 31:10-11 says, Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. Not just to her husband David—but to family and friends alike—Deborah was truly a virtuous woman and more precious than rubies. Bringing light and life into every room she walked into, Deborah was intentional about giving and loving on people of all ages and backgrounds.
She entered this world on February 23, 1961, to Raymond and Ernestine Harrison. On June 3, 1979, Deborah graduated from Immaculata High School in Detroit, and later went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercy College of Detroitin 1984. She served on the Detroit Police Department in both the 8th and 16th precincts. On July 28, 2007, Deborah married the love of her life, David Anderson, who stood by her side until she took her last breath.
On Monday, July 1, 2024, Deborah transitioned from labor to rest and reward at her home surrounded by her husband and family. She leaves to celebrate her life: her loving husband, David Anderson; her sons, Darius Lee Woods and David Lee Woods, Jr.; one goddaughter, Lakisha Johnson; a host of extended family members, friends and loved ones.

Though we mourn the loss, we celebrate her legacy, and we rejoice in knowing that we can still carry herspirit of joy in our hearts for decades to come.
